21. Perfect replacement

    This was a perfect replacement part for Hon tilt mechanism with 4.25" x 7.25" hole spacing. Seems to be exact equal of original mechanism and seems well-constructedn the press-fit for the cylinder end was nice and tight. All in all, happy to extend the life of my chair for very reasonable price.

    We bought a leather desk chair at an auction that had a broken tilt piece. We had trouble finding a new one, and even tried to have the piece welded. I tried looking online one more time before getting rid of the chair and found what we needed at Chair Parts Online.

    We are replacing our conference room chair bases. Unfortunately, the size of our tilt mechanism is not normal (it's small). Everyone had the standard size but we could not use. This is the only place that had the part that I needed. Ordered 14 of them. No problems, no backorders and shipped quickly (PLUS IT WAS FREE).
    Very nice customer service. Would definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future.

24. Great replacement mechanical unit for chair.

    I have a very old Office Depot cloth high back office chair that was wobbling. The bushings in the tilt pivot on one side was missing causing the chair to list to one side. I bought this as a replacement along with a new cylinder for a fraction of what a new chair would cost. While the mechanism wasn’t exactly like my old one, the bolt holes lined up perfectly with my chair seat. That, and the new cylinder make my chair almost as good as new. Still has a very slight play side to side, but I think that is my 360 pounds flexing the plywood frame of the chair seat.
    As a side note, I looked at replacing the entire chair, but couldn’t find a cloth high back one, and all the leather chairs were “bonded leather”. If you use a chair regularly, do not buy bonded leather!! My son spent over $250 for one, and threw it out after 2 years because the leather peeled off the base fabric. Bonded leather is just a cheap way to make you spend more money for something that looks good, but doesn’t last. Look up what bonded leather is for more info.

    While this appears to be of exceptional quality, I am returning it because I goofed and ordered the wrong item. Kate in customer care is fantastic and has assisted me tremendously. I would definitely order from them again!
