    My worry was that the holes in the replacement part would not align with those in my chair, but there was no problem. However, the edge of the part that meets with chair bracket is raised (the section labeled "2.5"" in the picture) as if to allow the chair bracket to fit under the new base part, but my chair bracket did not fit under (it was wider than 2.5"). Therefore, I had to loosen the chair bracket so the replacement part would slide under the chair bracket. Luckily, the screws in my chair bracket were long enough to accommodate this. It would have been great to have been told that I need to measure this part, or be given other options for this issue, such as a flat base.

    Great part for the price. Quick delivery. Only problem was that my shaft was smaller then the new mechanism. I guess sies have changed in the last 35 years! No problem as I used a customized CVC bushing to fit.

    Great to have my wife's chair brought back from on the verge of the trash heap and it great to have a chair that does not wobble so much that I need a gyro to keep myself upright.
    The customer service person was very good and help me pick the correct replacement part. A little up front time reduces the returns.
    Satisfied customer.
