A Perfect Fit

They were priced really reasonably, arrived quickly, & mounted right up to my chair, even though they weren't OEM for it. They're also very sturdy, I doubt I'll have to ever replace these. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the arm pad itself is hard. I was able to buy arm pads online though that solved the issue. Overall, I'm very pleased with them.

Why buy a new chair when u can just replace broken part?
Nothing else wrong with chair. So glad I found chair parts on line. The arm rest for my chair was perfect and better than the original. Delivered on time. Price was acceptable. I highly recommend. Chair parts on line. Will definitively purchase from them again.

The fold back feature is the big selling point to these arms and it functions well in the short time I've had them. The movement is not at all loose or flimsy, there is a firm degree of resistance to motion so that they will not move when you don't want them to, but nor does it take a lot of effort to rotate them back and forth. The release button that allows for the rotation takes firm pressure to activate, and it's more about form and looks than ergonomics, but that firmness will ensure that the arms never dislodge accidentally and the button functions well enough even if keeping pressure on it isn't a comfortable experience for your finger. The arms click firmly into place when they reach their maximum positions.
I have only had the arms for about a week so I can't speak to longevity but they seem designed to last.
While I can't fully agree with one reviewer who described the arm rests as "hard as a rock," I can concur that they are significantly less supple than my previous arm rests. I wouldn't let that scare you off. The pads do have some give to them and I can rest my elbow on them comfortably. The hardness will probably improve their longevity. One of my old, soft arm rests is falling apart, but they lasted a couple decades so I can't complain.
Fortunately, the new pads are made with two standard screw holes four inches apart and lots of replacement arm rest pads will fit. I used one of my old pads that remains in good shape to replace the new, harder pad and it fits and works just fine. You always have the option of buying some soft covers or pads you'll like better if the firmness of the new ones bothers you.
The distance between the arms seems slightly wider than my old set, perhaps because the new ones are centered on the wide drum that enables the arm rotation. My old arms have a thinner, metal core that rose closer to the edge of the seat.
The screw holes for attaching to the underside of the chair are well designed to allow for maximum variation in fastening points and as a result, I was able to easily make them fit on a twenty year old chair made by a company
that no longer exists, using the original screws.
You should beware that the arms are designed with a slightly forward tilt as a fashion statement. This results in the arm pads being about an inch more forward than my old ones which rested on arms that were positioned vertically. This takes a little getting used to and maybe you will need to adjust you chair back so that it doesn't lean as far back so that you can still comfortably rest your elbows on the back edge of the pad.
Shipping was free and reasonably timely, especially given the effects of the pandemic and the new post office manager who has intentionally slowed down the mail processing. So, you should be aware of that and exercise a little patience if shipping takes a couple days longer than you are used to.
I was concerned about the resilience of these arms because they are all plastic but the base seems thick enough to stand up to years of intermittent stress and movement as well as the constant pressure of the screws.
The button that adjusts height works well, is easy to press with any finger or your palm, and snaps into place firmly ensuring no accidental movement.
The price seems reasonable for the quality and features you're getting.
I suggest that the dealer and/or manufacturer create an option for a softer set of arm pads to be included, and a lower priced configuration that does not include any arm pads so that some customers can use the pads they already have if they like.

I was pleased with the quality of these arm rests. The only thing that could be better is that silver-coloured plastic accents look and feel a bit cheap - it would be better if they were metal.

Perfect but a little hard

I had a chair before with fold-away arms and was really happy to find these (if you play guitar or something). But since the arm rest is scalloped, it's only comfortable when your arm is straight on it, since you can't adjust these outward. Also, to hard for my boney elbows so I'm getting cushions for them which should make all the difference. Strange I can't seem to find a whole chair with fold-away arms.

I needed two arms for a chair that was purchased five years ago. The cover had worn out but the rest of the chair was in excellent shape. I called chairpartsonline and talked to Kate. The exact arms were no longer available but a replacement was. I ordered them with Kate's help and they were a perfect fit. Thanks, Kate!

I had 2 chairs both with a busted arm. Now I have 2 usable chairs! The replacement arms are great considering I do not even know today who manufactured these chairs. I took measurements before ordering. It was vital to have the specs provided by this seller to make the purchase. Fast shipping as well.
