51. Great gas cylinder for big guys

    I weigh in at 360 pounds, and have had no problem with this product holding its setting. It was an inch or two longer than my old one (my fault, I estimated the lengths) but setting it to a lower height solved that problem. As a side note, when I first tried to lower it, it wouldn’t move until I gave a small “body bounce” to get it to start. After that, it lowered further with no problems. Comes as a complete unit, pneumatic cylinder, steel column, and bearings. Just drop it in to your base and set your seat assembly on top.

    the gas lift worked perfect, but the service from the staff was way and above what i hoped for in finding a lift for a discontinued item.

    I had ordered a base with casters that arrived and was in love with the quality that I replaced the cylinder also. This 5 inch lift is a lot higher then the standard, so make sure you measure before ordering. For me, at close to 400 lbs, this is the perfect height and strength for what I need.

    Hammered the wheel frame off the chair, placed the frame on a Black & Decker portable workbench, 1 wack on the old piston and process complete. The new piston has a higher travel that starts at the top of the old piston & goes up 5" from there. I love it! Cost me $40 a new chair was going to cost me $350. I am VERY SATISFIED.
